How does an LLC that is a sole member of another LLC sign documents?

It’s imperative for you to sign documents and agreements for the limited liability company (LLC) and not yourself personally. The contractual language should clearly state that the agreement is between one party and the LLC. When signing the contract, make sure to use your name and appropriate title within the LLC. This establishes that you’re signing on behalf of the LLC and not in your personal capacity.

For your signature to have legal effect, the other party must learn at two things from your signature. First, the other party must believe that you have the company authority to sign contracts. As a member of an LLC, you legally have that authority. Also, the other party must be aware you are signing the document on behalf of the LLC.
