Does it make sense to apply for a B1 visa for the 3rd time within 35 days?

I think you may be asking the wrong question here.

I would start with identifying the reason for rejection before you think about re-applying. If you don’t remedy those issues, then your next application will be rejected and your time and energy wasted.

Common reasons that a B1-Visa may be rejected:

  • You don’t qualify. The experience and education credentials are very specific, but are ultimately at the descretion of the consulate officer.
  • You don’t have proper supporting documentation. For example, you may need to provide an invitation for the conference.
  • Your time in the country is too vague. The point of this visa is that you are in the country for a short, specific amount of time.
  • You are getting paid to come to the US. You can’t take money from the US under this type of visa. Although, in some cases you may be reimbursed for some of your costs.

I would encourage you to talk to an immigration attorney about your specific situation. If you need help locating a skilled, affordable lawyer, LawTrades would be happy to help. We understand that immigration law is incredibly complex, let us know if we can help you!
