I plan on selling two products a month. Do I need to form an LLC?

There are some significant benefits to forming a an LLC before selling your products, including protecting your personal assets from your business assets and being able to take advantage of certain tax incentives. (More of my thoughts on single-member LLCs here.) Another thought: talk to a lawyer about it. A legal professional will be able to give you the pros and cons about forming an LLC or other corporate entity, tailoring their advice to your specific business model and the goals you have for your business. The costs of incorporating and maintaining your corporation will depend on what state you choose to incorporate, but, generally speaking, forming an LLC is relatively cheap (more on that here). Again, an attorney would be able to help you determine the best state to incorporate your business.

My company LawTrades has top notch, pre-vetted attorneys who have vast experience helping people incorporate their small businesses and startups as LLCs and other types of corporate entities.
