Can you get a green card if you marry a green card holder?

Yes, you may be able to get a green card, but it’s not automatic. You must still go through a process.

A green card holder may petition for their spouse to also get a green card. The green card holder must submit the I-130 Petition for Alien Relative. They must also provide proof that they are a permanent resident as well as proof of their relationship their spouse.

If you need some help with your green card petition, please seek legal help as immigration can be an incredibly tricky area of law. LawTrades would be happy to assist you.
