Can I incorporate a company when I am working for another company?

Usually, the answer is that yes you can start a business while working for another one.

However.

Take a good look at your employment agreement and any other contracts that you’ve already signed. You may have signed something that indicates that you can’t use any knowledge you’ve gained while on the job with Google. If that’s the case, make sure that your business doesn’t infringe on any other previous agreements.

To make sure that you are on the straight and narrow, you should consult an attorney. LawTrades would be happy to put you in touch with a contract lawyer to review any current agreements or a startup attorney to help you with shaping up your business.
