My H1B has been revoked due to a layoff, but I’m still in the US looking for work. What should I do next?

Know that this is not an incredibly uncommon situation. While it is certainly not ideal and can cause you stress, there are options still available to you. Of course, you will need to create a plan that is best for your situation. If you wish to continue to work in the US you can try to find other employment and do a transfer of H1B. This can be somewhat of a process, so it is best for you to consult an immigration attorney to assist with filing extensions until you have your situation remedied. While you are given some time to seek new employment, time is of the essence.

LawTrades can help put you in contact with an affordable immigration attorney. Our payment plans are flexible and we strive to offer each client economical options for legal counsel. Contact us today so we can help provide you with the appropriate resources.
