How do I actually create a start-up? by @R44D

There is a lot of work that needs to be done for you to build your idea into a full business that will make you money. Much of the work involves refining your idea and developing a business plan that will spell out in detail how your idea will generate profits. On top of that, you will have some paperwork that needs to be filed for things like registration or licensing. The amount of paperwork and registration you will need to do depends on the nature of your business but will probably be a substantial amount, especially when you add it together with all the work that will be done on your business plan. Your product may also have to meet certain standards or requirements. For example, if your product is an app, then you will have to comply with specific iOS or Android app store requirements.
First, your business plan needs to provide for everything that your business will do. You can think of the business plan as basically a collection of documents that add together to represent your whole business on paper. It needs to have product descriptions, market analysis, financial and growth projections, and funding requests to name a few things. Anything that will be involved with your business needs to be provide for in some way in the business plan.
Next, you will need to register your business with the state and obtain any licenses that you may need as well as any other legal documents or processes that need to be completed. The registration process depends on how you want to organize your business, but will typically involve some type of registration fee. You should also obtain any licenses that you may need at this time.
Finally, you should check on any requirements or standards that your product itself must meet. There may be some type of government or industry regulation depending on your product. If your product doesn’t meet the requirements, you will obviously have to fix it before you can start selling it.
You can do all of these things on your own, but you could also have an attorney help you. There are many things to take care of and an experienced attorney will be able to walk you through the process.
