I would encourage you to look more closely at copyright law and how you can earn money by licensing your music through public performance rights, mechanical rights, or synchronization license.
From a legal standpoint, you could have the music licensed on your behalf so that it can then be performed or transmitted the work to the public through another channel (i.e. a professional musician), put the music to video or film, or put the music on cassette/CD.
Of course, there is still the process of finding individuals that are interested in using the music for any of the above purposes. For that, you will have to be incredibly proactive in pitching your music to the most likely interested audience.
