How much will the average startup spend in legal fees to raise a seed round of $100k?

A lot depends on the who is investing during that seed round. An angel investor is going to be cheaper than a venture capitalist (VC). The amount could be between $5k-$20k but it could be more depending on what lawyer you go with. If you go to a Big Law firm then you may end up exceeding that $20k mark. At the end of the day, it’s important that you hire an attorney and not try to maneuver the process on your own.

Feel free to consider LawTrades for your startup’s fundraising needs. The attorneys on our site have experience closing funding rounds for businesses of all sizes and stages. We offer free consultations & no obligation price quotes. Hope this helps!
