Someone just registered my domain name as an LLC. Can they legally take my .com domain?

My answer to Someone just registered my domain name as an LLC. Can they legally take my .com domain?

Answer by Raad Ahmed:

Generally, if you already own a domain name, a subsequent LLC registration by someone else will not defeat your .com domain — you will still own the domain. However, if you plan to launch your app under the same name, you may run into some problems with the company that is already registered.

I would suggest that you speak with an attorney to determine your best options going forward. At LawTrades, our attorneys have experience navigating these types of situations and advising clients on their best paths to success. Visit our website to see how we can help you!
