The base filing fee of the petition is $325.00. However, there is an additional fee of $750.00 or $1,500.00. If Form I-29 is filed for an H-1B nonimmigrant or for a Singapore or Chile H-1B1 Free Trade Nonimmigrant and they are not exempt under the Data Collection and Filing Fee Exemption Supplement, then this additional fee must be paid. If the company has 25 full-time employees or less, then the $750.00 fee must be paid.
Furthermore, a Fraud Prevention and Detection fee must be paid if the company is a U.S. employer that is seeking initial approval of an H-1B nonimmigrant status to employ someone who is currently working for an existing employer, then an additional $500.00 fee must be paid.
Finally, an additional $2,000.00 may be due if the company employs 50 or more individuals in the United States and more than half of these employees are an H-1B visa employee.
