Is there a way to search for provisional patents?

There are only two instances when provisional patent applications are made publicly available. If a non-provisional patent application is filed claiming priority to the provisional patent application and the non-provisional patent application is either (a) published or (b) granted as a patent then a copy of the provisional patent application may be accessed on Public PAIR. As Russ pointed out, you must enter your non-provisional patent application serial number in order to view the provisional patent application.

If you want a few links to search for issued patents try Google Patent, the USPTO database, and a simple worldwide search.
