Compliance Counsel (Healthcare) – Part-Time, Contract

Remote / 15 hrs / Part-Time / Ongoing / Mid-Level (5-15 Years)

We are seeking to add a talented, solutions-oriented, individual to our growing compliance team. This role would serve as the primary compliance lead for new and existing customers and work closely with the nurse navigator team, customer success, and other functions in compliantly building, reviewing, and delivering our core service. The position will help design, create, and evolve processes to enable successful customer launches, including by working directly with customers’ promotional review committees. As processes become standardized and self-sufficient, the field-facing experience of this role will be critical in supporting strategic higher-level initiatives of the company.

This position would report to the Director of Compliance and have direct and immediate access and exposure to senior leaders inclusive of the VPs, Founders, and CEO, who look to our compliance team as skilled and trusted advisors prepared to position the company as a compliance leader in the healthcare technology industry.

Experience and Skills

• 5 or more years of healthcare experience, specifically in the areas of compliance, legal, regulatory, audit, or risk advisory
• Experience serving on or supporting promotional review committees (PRC) for healthcare or pharmaceutical companies responsible for submission of materials in accordance with FDA regulations such as Form 2253
• Experience leading, or supporting, client-facing projects by providing solutions that blend the needs of multiple parties across client and company sales, regulatory, and legal teams
• A process-oriented mindset that can quickly identify trends or areas of improvement and effectively roll out enduring solutions
• An understanding of and interest in the US healthcare environment, it’s players, and key regulations and frameworks that govern it

Additional preferred skills:

• Familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations, guidelines, and governing institutions, e.g., the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Beneficiary Inducement, PhRMA Code, HIPAA, and Office of Inspector General
• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance, patient safety, and FDA standards
• Experience working for, or with, large pharmaceutical manufacturers particularly in the areas of patient support or adherence programs
